Aethir’s Devcon Southeast Asia 2024 Recap

Devcon Southeast Asia 2024 was a blast, with dozens of dynamic events, panel discussions, keynote speeches, and exciting presentations on hot topics such as blockchain evolution, AI, DePIN, and Web3 development. Aethir’s team had a busy Devcon week, participating in five-panel discussions, co-hosting another five high-profile events with our partners, and presenting Aethir Edge at W2140 Expo, which was at the same time as Devcon.

Devcon SEA: Diving into the Future of AI and Web3 Technology

Aethir and 0G Labs kicked off Devcon in style with the dAI Ecosystem Welcome Dinner together with numerous partners from the AI, Web3, and DePIN sectors. Representatives of assisterr, Aurora, Doppelgangers AI, Exponent, and Mind Network helped unite the ecosystem and make the night a tremendous success with inspiring diner discussions on AI innovation and its creative potential.

At the dAI KOL Connect event, which we co-hosted with 0G Labs, our Co-Founder Mark Rydon gave a warm welcome speech to a broad audience of KOL from the Web3 scene, emphasizing the importance of networking and maintaining a close relationship with the community to spearhead decentralized AI innovation. The event was supported by various partners, including Aurora, Chainbase, Phala Network, DIN, Zero1 Labs, Zodia Custody, and 0x499.

Aethir’s Mark Rydon attended WOW Summit Bangkok, held at the same time as Devcon, to participate in a panel titled Innovations in Web3. The panel focused on AI, robotics, DePIN, and decentralized finance in the APAC region. 

During Decentralized SEA, Kartik Jain, our Ecosystem Lead, discussed the future of DePIN in Southeast Asia and how to support the industry’s evolution alongside representatives of Mind Network, Filecoin Foundation, AIxBlock, Aleph.im Network, Orochi Network, Network3, and FutureMoney Group. 

At the DePIN for AI panel discussion, Mark Rydon explored the intersection between AI and DePIN, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration and how decentralized cloud GPU infrastructure can support the next evolutionary stage of AI development. Aethir’s decentralized cloud is the ideal partner for AI enterprises looking to leverage premium quality GPU computing power. The panel included industry experts from RSS3, Open Network, Fluence, and gensyn. 

The Nodesale 101 Panel during the Hack Seasons Conference was a great opportunity for Aethir’s Mark Rydon to share first-hand experiences, lessons, and challenges from Aethir’s groundbreaking Checker Node sale back in March. Mark contributed to the panel through valuable insights on node sale dynamics, focusing on nodes being the new meta in the decentralized Web3 era. Also, our colleagues from easeflow, Sophon, CARV, and Satoshi Universe joined the panel to share their experiences on Web3 node sales. 

Aethir Edge at W2140 Bangkok

At W2140, one of Southeast Asia's hottest AI and Web3 events, the Aethir Edge team presented our flagship decentralized cloud computing device to industry leaders, startups, innovators, and experts interested in learning more about Aethir Edge’s decentralized cloud computing technology. Our team showed how anyone who wants to contribute to next-level gaming and AI inference while earning ATH token rewards can join our ecosystem by operating an Aethir Edge device.

At Aethir, we work hard and play hard, so we spiced up the dynamic Devcon week with our rAIve the Night party, co-hosted with 0G Labs. We had a fantastic time enjoying the company of numerous AI and Web3 enthusiasts, including our esteemed partners from CARV, Phala Network, Selini Capital, Botanika, Impossible Cloud Network, and assisterr. 

Wrapping Up Devcon SEA 2024

Devcon SEA was much more than a Web3 conference focused on the Ethereum ecosystem. It was a vibrant mix of panel discussions, networking events, and keynote speeches aimed at connecting the broader Web3 space and finding synergy between innovators moving the boundaries of decentralization and blockchain technology.
