Expanding Horizons: Aethir Welcoming New GPU Cloud Hosts to Scale Global Compute
Over the past two years, Aethir successfully built and launched the largest decentralized enterprise-grade GPU-as-a-service platform, specifically designed for AI and gaming use cases. We recently unveiled our core business model and annual revenue report, positioning Aethir as a leader in the DePIN sector with $36 million in annual recurring revenue.
Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure includes over 3,000 NVIDIA H100s and more than 43,000 high-end GPUs, built to support the most demanding AI workloads and empower enterprises to develop transformative platforms requiring vast GPU resources. Numerous high-profile customers across the AI, Gaming, Web2, and Web3 sectors have chosen Aethir as their go-to cloud computing provider.
What’s next? Having established the foundation of Aethir’s DePIN ecosystem, we are now entering the next phase of Aethir’s journey: expansion. We’re proud to announce the New Horizons program, where Aethir will onboard a larger cohort of cloud hosts, also referred to as GPU suppliers, to provide GPU compute at scale. The role of cloud hosts is to provide GPUs for Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure, allowing them to earn ATH rewards by providing compute.
During this phase, we will scale our decentralized computing capabilities to significantly expand Aethir’s GPU network, meeting the rapidly increasing demand for cloud computing in GPU-intensive industries such as AI, machine learning, and gaming. Aethir’s distributed GPU cloud will expand to include numerous new types of GPUs in many additional infrastructure centers. This will enable us to service enterprise clients even more efficiently and at an unprecedented scale. With more strategically distributed GPU resources, we will expand our global GPU footprint, powered by decentralized operations and secured through our network of over 91,000 community-owned Checker Nodes.
To successfully grow Aethir’s GPU network, we will onboard additional cloud hosts and staking partners to support new GPU supplies by securing them with staked ATH.
New Horizons: Massive Scaling of Decentralized Compute
Aethir introduces New Horizons, our large-scale GPU resource expansion program, fostering collaborations with more global GPU suppliers than ever before. Through New Horizons, we welcome everyone looking to join the Aethir ecosystem as a cloud host to contact us and apply to join our GPU-as-a-service network. We are opening applications for potential GPU providers that fulfill Aethir’s high standards of computing.
Aethir has set up a streamlined application process for cloud hosts that will allow anyone to apply to join our network. Those applicants who meet all the requirements will become part of Aethir's global GPU network and have the opportunity to earn ATH token rewards for providing their services. To ensure all GPUs maintain Aethir’s quality standards, we will announce the list of computing resource types eligible to join, with exact GPU specifications.
We want to make onboarding new GPUs into the Aethir ecosystem a simple and streamlined process. This will allow GPU providers of all sizes to seamlessly integrate with our platform and start providing processing power to our AI and gaming clients.
Aethir Cloud: Cloud Host Portal
To ensure a convenient user experience for all service providers, we will launch the New Horizons Cloud Host Portal, which will be exclusively accessible to Aethir GPU compute providers. They will be able to easily integrate the portal into their daily operations and manage their computing supply within the Aethir network. Similar to how Aethir Checker Node holders have the Checker Owner Portal at their fingertips to manage their Checker Nodes, Aethir’s cloud hosts will also have their portal to monitor the activity of their computing resources and manage their ATH rewards.
The portal is set to launch by the end of September 2024 and will be an essential tool for GPU compute providers.
Onboarding New Staking Partners to Support Aethir’s Growing Decentralized GPU Network
As our GPU compute network grows, we will expand our ecosystem of staking partners to streamline the onboarding of GPU providers backed by staked ATH.
Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure requires that all compute resources be proportionally staked with ATH. This means every active GPU in our network must be backed by an ATH stake. To support this, Aethir is welcoming new staking partners to provide additional staked ATH. Under the Aethir New Horizons program, instead of requiring new GPU suppliers to stake ATH themselves, we will expand existing partnerships and onboard new ones to support the staking requirements of our growing cloud computing network. This approach should rapidly increase the speed and volume of compute resources we can onboard.
New Horizons is not just about expanding Aethir’s GPU computing network; it represents a long-term vision for distributed cloud computing, addressing the growing need for reliable, secure, and scalable GPU resources across compute-intensive industries. With New Horizons, we are opening the doors to large-scale onboarding of cloud hosts into the Aethir ecosystem while staying true to decentralization as a core pillar of Web3. Rather than solely meeting the needs of our current enterprise clients, we are building a globally distributed cloud computing framework designed to endure and power the compute-demanding platforms of the future, enhancing the everyday lives of people worldwide.
