Pausing Aethir Checker Node Sale

- After wildly surpassing our goal, we are pausing sales of Aethir's Checker Node licenses on 8 May 2024.

Aethir’s Checker Node Sale has been more successful than we could have imagined! We have far exceeded our goal of 50,000 node licenses to ensure sufficient decentralization of the Checker Node infrastructure and so we are pausing the Sale on 8 May 2024. We have decided to pause the Checker Node Sale to ensure the proper distribution of all Checker Node license NFTs and to take a snapshot of the current node license holders ahead of the ATH token generation event. After our TGE, the community will decide when and whether to resume the Node Sale through a governance vote or perhaps to burn all unsold Checker Node licenses.

Our Node Sale commenced on 18 March 2024, with the Whitelist Node Sale, while the Public Sale took off on 20 March 2024. Just one hour after the Public Sale started, we distributed over 50,000 licenses worth 20,000 ETH. In the 42 days since we now have distributed over 73,000 node licenses valued at over 41,000 ETH. More than 20,000 unique community members are operating nodes, thus creating an unprecedented level of decentralization. This level of diverse community participation and long-term commitment clearly illustrates the conviction and faith in Aethir’s ecosystem.

Our vast network of over 100 partners played a vital role in the successful distribution of our Checker Node Licenses, and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to them once more. The node sale definitely wouldn’t have been such a success without their continued support. It was a tremendous joint effort and a great example of how a Web 3.0 community collaboration should manifest.

By distributing ownership of our Checker Nodes to the community, we are emphasizing the importance of decentralized ownership and a trustless ecosystem as a key pillar of the Web 3.0 era. Anyone can become an Aethir Checker Node operator and contribute to our ecosystem, which will be rewarded with 15% of the ATH token supply.
