Aethir's September 2024 Recap

September at Aethir was a blast, with two of the most significant Web3 events in Southeast Asia that saw over 30 panels and side events co-hosted by Aethir. Also, we announced the launch of our New Horizons program to onboard massive amounts of fresh GPU computing supplies worldwide, allowing anyone to become a service provider in Aethir’s DePIN stack. Furthermore, we announced numerous high-profile partnerships with industry leaders and Web3 innovators, along with our first ecosystem grant program. Finally, we successfully closed the fourth public sales round of Aethir Edge, our flagship cloud computing hardware device, and presented it to numerous Web3 innovators at TOKEN2049 Singapore.

New Horizons: Onboarding New GPU Hosts into the Aethir DePIN Stack

In September, we announced the launch of New Horizons, our program for onboarding a larger cohort of cloud hosts, also referred to as GPU suppliers, to provide GPU computing for Aethir’s enterprise AI and gaming clients at scale. Cloud hosts provide GPUs for Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure, allowing them to earn ATH rewards in return. Through New Horizons, we welcome everyone looking to join the Aethir ecosystem as a cloud host to contact us and apply to join our GPU-as-a-service network. Those applicants who meet all the requirements will become part of Aethir's global GPU network and have the opportunity to earn ATH token rewards for providing their services.

Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure requires that all compute resources be proportionally staked with ATH. To support this, Aethir is welcoming new staking partners to provide additional staked ATH. Under the Aethir New Horizons program, instead of requiring new GPU suppliers to stake ATH themselves, we will expand existing partnerships and onboard new ones to support the staking requirements of our growing cloud computing network.

Expanding the Aethir Ecosystem with Exciting Partnerships

Throughout September, we have continued to expand the Aethir ecosystem, working toward our goal of establishing a massive global network of Web3, AI, gaming, and DePIN innovators who are transforming people's everyday lives. 

Together with Xai, we have launched a $10 million ecosystem grant program to support AI-powered gaming projects and empower them with the infrastructure they need to create groundbreaking user experiences. 

At TOKEN2049 Singapore, Aethir announced a massive DePIN partnership with the Filecoin Foundation that combines distributed GPU infrastructure with decentralized file storage. Aethir and Filecoin are nurturing a community-driven ecosystem where developers, content creators, and users benefit from shared resources. 

In September, we teamed up with Impossible Cloud Network (ICN) to combine our cloud computing expertise in spearheading decentralized cloud innovation. Together, we are enhancing cloud computing security, transparency, and performance while reducing operational costs and optimizing resource utilization.

Furthermore, two gaming giants, Unite and GameCentric, joined Aethir’s network. Our decentralized infrastructure will support their next-level Web3 gaming projects. Both companies are gaming veterans adept at launching projects that enhance gameplay and user experiences for players worldwide. 

Throughout the month, various additional partners joined the Aethir ecosystem to leverage our decentralized cloud technology for different use cases. 

In the gaming sector, we welcomed Blockus, Enjinstarter, World Play League, The Game Company, Showdown, Gods Legacy, 2TG Entertainment, and Zone Nine as our valued partners. 

In the AI sector, Sekai, an innovative platform that integrates real-world economy with on-chain solutions, and Lighthouse, a programmable data layer for AI, have joined hands with Aethir as a trustworthy cloud computing infrastructure partner. We’ve also onboarded Inferix, an AI-focused decentralized GPU network, into the Aethir ecosystem as an additional GPU partner. 

Additionally, welcomed two partners from the finance and hospitality sectors. Kima Network is revolutionizing financial interoperability by bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3, while Staynex is changing the $2T hospitality market with Web3 & AI. Both partners have chosen Aethir as a trustworthy, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure provider capable of efficiently supporting their daily operations.

Aethir at Korea Blockchain Week 

From September 1 to 7, 2024, the Aethir team attended one of Southeast Asia's most important Web3 events: Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul. Aethir co-hosted and had speakers at 18 high-profile events during the conference alongside dozens of esteemed colleagues, partners, and industry leaders. The events featured various key topics, including DePIN, Web3, AI, gaming, and the future of blockchain technology.

Our CEO, Daniel Wang, joined the DeAI & Web3 Media Unconf event to discuss the exciting intersection of AI and Internet Computer Protocol’s technology with a particular focus on the benefits of deploying AI on a censorship-resistant and globally distributed network. During the Exploring the DeSci Landscape panel, Aethir’s Co-founder Mark Rydon had the opportunity to discuss ​Decentralized Science (DeSci), one of the critical emerging narratives in the Web3 industry. Aethir’s Ecosystem Lead, Kartik Jain, joined an exciting panel called The Intersection of AI & Gaming to discuss the massive growth opportunities for gaming projects leveraging AI solutions to improve gaming experiences and create breathtaking gaming worlds. At DePIN Seoul, Aethir’s CEO, Daniel Wang, Co-founder Mark Rydon, and Aethir Edge’s Strategy Lead, Mack Lorden, unpacked the Aethir DePIN stack’s key elements, introducing all aspects of Aethir’s core value proposition, along with the introduction of Aethir Edge’s role in the Aethir Ecosystem.

Aethir at TOKEN2049 Singapore

After Korea Blockchain Week, TOKEN2049 Singapore was the next major event between 18 and 19 September. Aethir joined and co-hosted 15+ events focused on a wide range of industry topics, including AI innovation, the current state and future of DePIN, and the development perspective of Web3 gaming.

During DePIN Day Singapore, our co-founder, Mark Rydon, kicked things off with a powerful opening presentation laying out Aethir's vision for a decentralized world. At the Shaping the Future of Web3 conference, our Masha Prusso took to the stage, joining a panel of industry leaders to discuss the evolution and future of Web3.

The Mandala Club in Singapore became a buzzing hub of networking and knowledge sharing. For three days, we welcomed partners, investors, and Web3 fans to experience Aethir's vision firsthand. During DNA x Aethir House, Decentralized AI Day, and In the World of DePIN, Aethir demonstrated how our platform makes AI innovation easier with accessible and affordable GPU resources. We also had panel discussions on decentralized AI across different blockchains and an investor's guide to Web3. Furthermore, our team broke down the DePIN landscape, highlighting Aethir's unique role and contributions to this growing global ecosystem.

The Latest Developments with Aethir Edge: New Sales Round, Bonus Rewards and Public Presentations

Aethir Edge was also present at TOKEN2049 in Singapore. During DePIN Day, Aethir’s Co-founder, Mark Rydon, gave a detailed presentation on the key functionalities of Aethir Edge and its role in Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure. Mark explained how Aethir Edge is impacting the development of the AI sector by supporting AI workloads with faster data processing, real-time analytics, high scalability, and cost-effective services. 

Furthermore, Mack Lorden, Aethir Edge’s Strategy Lead, dived deep into emerging trends in consumer-facing Web3 applications during the In the World of DePIN event at TOKEN2049 Singapore and emphasized the visionary role of Aethir Edge as a highly advanced consumer-grade cloud computing device.

On 10 September, we launched the 4th round of the Aethir Edge public sale. The sale lasted just an hour, with all the available devices sold out, marking a successful closure of another Aethir Edge sales round. So far, over 30,000 Aethir Edge devices have been distributed to buyers worldwide, enabling them to join the Aethir ecosystem as service providers and support next-level AI workloads, as well as advanced cloud gaming and streaming. Aethir Edge is our consumer-grade cloud computing device that empowers anyone to contribute computing power to the Aethir DePIN stack and earn ATH token rewards in return. 

Aethir Edge has a special spot in the Aethir ecosystem, and that’s why we introduced two months of bonus rewards for Aethir Edge operators. Throughout September, all Aethir Edge operators received a massive daily bonus of 90 ATH per device on top of their regular rewards. As a reminder, the bonus rewards will continue until the end of October.
